Delete your account

From inside the app

This is the quickest way, and it clears the phone as well as our records.

1. Open Mau and tap the sliders in the header to reach the supporter area.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Under Mau account, tap Delete account and confirm.

If you no longer have the app

Email expressme.aac@gmail.com from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We use the address you write from to identify the account, so please send it from that address. We action requests within 30 days and reply once it is done.

What is deleted

• Your email address, phone number and name.
• The record of which devices the account is set up on.
• Your subscription record.
• The record that your email address was confirmed.
• Your sign-in account itself.

All of it is deleted outright, not hidden or marked inactive, and none of it is kept afterwards.

What was never ours to delete

The boards, symbols, voice recordings, photos and sentences a child builds are stored on the phone and are never uploaded to us. Deleting from inside the app erases them along with everything else. If you delete by email instead, they stay on the phone until you uninstall the app or clear its data — we cannot reach them to remove them, because we never had them.

Your subscription

If you pay for Mau through Google Play, deleting your account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions, or it will keep renewing.
